Rossall Outreach

It has been a busy week for Rossall being out and about in the community.

On Saturday, we were delighted to host Fleetwood's Festival of music, dance and theatre. So many of these festivals are closing across the country as the cost of running them becomes prohibitive. We were delighted to be able to help the Fleetwood Music and Arts Festival by sharing our buildings and facilities with them and it was a pleasure to welcome all of the competitors; not even the weather could dampen their enthusiasm.

On Wednesday, Mr Bradley visited the Cleveleys Community Centre where he gave a talk on the history of Rossall School to the "Rossall Beach Buddies." It was a well-attended event and the warmth of the reception just shows the high regard that Rossall is held within our community. We are looking forward to welcoming them on site in the future for a tour.

On Thursday, Rossall joined Larkholme School's Eco club in bulb planting at the formal gardens at The Mount in Fleetwood. Director of Public Benefit, Mark Bradley, joined the group to plant Bluebells and Crocuses for next spring. Larkholme Deputy Head Teacher, Rebecca Sims was delighted, “Without Rossall’s help, we would not have been able to take part in this community event.”

We are looking forward to working with Larkholme more in the future.
